CHARPEX 2008, the Charlotte Regional Philatelic Exhibition, will be held Friday, July 25th through Sunday, July 27th. This year's show is being held at the Harris Conference Center, 3216 CPCC Harris Campus Drive, just off Billy Graham Parkway and close to Charlotte-Douglas Airport.

This year CHARPEX includes a 100-frame judged exhibition, a 23-dealer bourse, live auction, show cachet and cancel and many interesting speakers.  CHARPEX 2008 hosts the annual meetings of the Confederate Stamp Alliance and the Universal Ship Cancellation Society.  

The show hotel is the Doubletree Charlotte Airport Hotel, 2600 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, NC 28208.  A special $99 per night rate is available. Call the hotel at 704-357-9100 or 800-222-8733 and indicate you want the "CSA" rate.   CSA membership is not required.

Last year's special cachet and postmark were in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Carolina Theatre.  Two postmarks are used - one for each day of the show.
